Position Summary:
The Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management at UC Berkeley invites applications for a postdoctoral scholar to apply hydrologic modeling techniques to predict ecologically relevant aspects of stream flow regimes in California. The candidate will be responsible for testing alternative hydrologic modeling methods for predicting stream flow at ungauged basins. The candidate will also explore sources of model prediction uncertainty and factors explaining differences in performance among alternative modeling methods. The postdoc is expected to work closely with a team of researchers working on the development of the California Environmental Flows Framework (https://ceff.ucdavis.edu). There will also be opportunities for independent lines of research inquiry.
