How to Submit an Ad

  • SFS members, academic institutions, and non-profit organizations can freely post advertisements for position openings, meetings, publications, workshop and courses, or general interest messages.
  • For-profit companies are allowed to post freely, but a $35 donation to one of the SFS endowments funds is suggested.
  • Advertisements and messages should be emailed to the SFS Classifieds editor (classifieds@freshwater-science.org). If judged acceptable, they will be posted promptly (generally within 48 hours).

We are recruiting several undergraduate students for paid, summer internships through the Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. We are seeking motivated students with quantitative ecology interests. We will analyze big data from the Upper Mississippi River, including water quality, hydrology, aquatic vegetation, and fish.

The Department of Environmental Studies at Macalester College announces an opening for a two-year Wallin Postdoctoral Fellow in Urban Environmental Science to begin in Fall 2021. 

This position is open to those who have been awarded a doctorate at the time of appointment in Environmental Studies or a relevant field in the environmental sciences. We prefer that the PhD has been completed by July 1, 2021, but will consider ABD candidates who expect completion by October 1, 2021.

The ESA Student Section is hosting the 2021 Student & Careers Resource Symposium in the week of January 25th, 2021. The symposium will be a five-day event with sessions each day. This event is open to everyone.
