The WilsonLab at Auburn University is currently recruiting for a Research Assistant Technician to help us study the ecology of freshwater harmful algal blooms. 

The Evolving Meta-Ecosystems (EVOME) Institute is recruiting for four PhD positions at three of its partner institutions: University of Alabama, University of Alaska Fairbanks (2 positions), and University of Connecticut. Students will work with a diverse and highly dynamic group of collaborators and will have the unique experience of spending their summers conducting field work at Toolik Field Station in the Alaskan Arctic. Ideally students would begin in the spring of 2025, starting with summer field work in the Arctic. 

The Delta Research and Extension Center (DREC) and Thad Cochran National Warmwater Aquaculture Center (TCNWAC) of Mississippi State University (MSU) is seeking applications for a full time, 12 month tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank.

Zacchaeus Compson’s research group at the University of North Texas—along with PIs at Penn State University (Daniel Allen) and the University of Alabama (Arial Shogren)—is looking for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to coordinate an NSF-funded project titled, “DISTANCE: Determining In-Stream Transport of eDNA Across NEON Sites at the Continental ScaleE.” The postdoc will coordinate the project and mentor a cohort of three PhD students (one at each partnering university). Regular field experiments will take place at streams near each institution, and collaborative field campaigns will occur in the summers at National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON) sites across the US.
