How to Submit an Ad

  • SFS members, academic institutions, and non-profit organizations can freely post advertisements for position openings, meetings, publications, workshop and courses, or general interest messages.
  • For-profit companies are allowed to post freely, but a $35 donation to one of the SFS endowments funds is suggested.
  • Advertisements and messages should be emailed to the SFS Classifieds editor (classifieds@freshwater-science.org). If judged acceptable, they will be posted promptly (generally within 48 hours).

Research will focus on advancing our understanding of: 1) relationships between spatial patterns of early life history and recruitment of fishes in the Upper Mississippi River, and 2) the role of tributaries in supporting large river fish populations.

Qualifications include M.S. in Fisheries, Aquatic Ecology, or related field, strong written and oral communication skills and strong analytical skills. Experience with fish sampling in large rivers and otolith microchemistry is desirable but not required.
