Duties: Operate and maintain a pair of imaging sonars at a remote field site, maintain and facilitate data telemetry, and enumerate fish passage.

Montana Natural Heritage Program (MTNHP) of the University of Montana is seeking Seasonal Ecological Monitoring staff for rangeland and aquatic surveys during the summer of 2019. MTNHP is partnering with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in 2019 to implement their terrestrial and aquatic Assessment, Inventory, and Monitoring (AIM) strategy, which is targeted at collecting standardized inventory and long-term vegetation data at multiple scales across BLM Districts in the Western U.S.

The successful candidate will combine comparative and experimental methods to test predictions that the magnitude of resource subsidies influences trophic structure and function.
Graduate PhD positions are available in the Laboratory of Freshwater Ecology at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario to conduct ecological research on lakes and rivers. Research for these positions could range from nutrient effects on animal nutrition and food webs to landscape studies of carbon and nutrients. Field work for these positions could include projects in the Great Lakes and their watersheds, central Ontario in cottage country and the Experimental Lakes Area in northwestern Ontario.
