SFS members are here to support each other so that we can all conduct the science that is most important to us. We know that many of you, especially early in your career, have questions about finding research positions and funding opportunities in light of the current U.S. administration's agenda to gut the federal agencies that support science and conservation research, application, and education programs. Although no one has a clear idea of what the next year will look like, several senior SFS members from a wide variety of institutions will be available to answer questions you may have.
The panelists so far include Mark Gessner, Jennifer Tank, Peter Levi, and Lauren Kinsman-Costello, whose combined experience spans a diversity of countries, institutions, and sectors of freshwater science. We welcome others who would like to serve as panelists! If interested, please email Sally Entrekin: sallye@vt.edu.
