The Great Lakes Fishery Commission is seeking to hire a Fishery Research Program Associate.

Assists Science Director and Science Program Manager with research program administration including planning board meetings, coordinating proposal submission and peer review processes, negotiating research contracts, and managing program budget. Helps coordinate Great Lakes Acoustic Telemetry Observation System (https://glatos.glos.us/) and Coregonine Science Initiative (https://www.usgs.gov/special-topics/great-lakes-restoration-initiative/s...). Maintains and improves program website (http://www.glfc.org/science-research.php) content and develops content for other program communications. Assists with research in the lab and field. Networks with Great Lakes research community.
Desired start date: January 2, 2023. This is a three-year position with potential for extension.
Location: Position is stationed in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Salary: $54,521-$66,313 (GS 8-10) commensurate with experience and qualifications. Comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications: M.S. in biology, fishery biology, aquatic ecology, conservation, or related discipline. Meticulous attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must possess a valid driver's license and passport, and provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
