Multiple Stream and Wetland Field Technician Positions in Colorado and Utah

The Colorado Natural Heritage Program is seeking experienced field technicians to work on multiple stream and wetland projects across Colorado and Utah. For all projects, technicians will spend 4–8 days in a row in the field, often camping away from their base location. Standard duties may involve planning logistics for multi-day field sessions; driving and hiking to field sites; water quality sampling; benthic macroinvertebrate sampling; identifying wetland plants both in and out of the field; extensive collection of vegetation, water, soil, stream habitat, and other environmental data; detailed completion of field survey forms; and landowner and land manager communication.

Salary range: $15.00–$19.00/hr

First consideration of applicants will begin February 25, 2019. Applications will continue to be accepted until all positions are filled or until April 30, 2019, whichever comes first.
