The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) is accepting applications for a Natural Resources Administrator - Research Coordinator within the Division of Coastal Management, headquartered at the Old Woman Creek National Estuarine Research Reserve, assigned to Erie county. What you will do:

  • Coordinates, directs & supervises all personnel within the Research & System Wide Monitoring Program at Old Woman Creek National Estuarine Research Reserve
  • Develops and formulates research proposals
  • Acts as principle investigator for assigned Lake Erie ecosystem research and management-oriented studies/projects
  • Conducts and oversees field research and surveys of coastal wetland aquatic communities in the Old Woman Creek estuary and other Lake Erie ecosystem habitats
  • Coordinates & directs coastal wetland research needs & priorities within Ohio's National Estuarine Research Reserve Program & implementation of coastal wetland habitat monitoring & research within the Lake Erie basin

Qualifications:

  • Completion of graduate major core program & 12 mos. exp. in natural resources specialty indicated under job duties within approved position description (biology, aquatic ecology, environmental science, biogeochemistry); valid driver’s license.
  • Or undergraduate major core program & 24 mos. trg. or 24 mos. exp. in natural resources specialty indicated under job duties within approved position (biology, aquatic ecology, environmental science, biogeochemistry); valid driver’s license.
  • Or 48 mos. trg. or 48 mos. exp. in natural resources specialty indicated under job duties within approved position description (biology, aquatic ecology, environmental science, biogeochemistry); valid driver’s license.
  • Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
