Postdoctoral associate, aquatic ecosystem stoichiometry — University of Nebraska-Lincoln

A postdoctoral research associate position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Jessica Corman (ecostoich.weebly.com) to join ongoing ecological research on the diverse rivers, lakes, and streams of Nebraska. The postdoctoral associate should have a specialization in one or more of the following: aquatic ecosystem ecology, phytoplankton ecology, ecological stoichiometry, water quality, or biogeochemical cycling. The postdoc will develop their own research question in collaboration with laboratory members and PI Corman. The postdoc will also assist in proposal development for continued research activities related to eutrophication and climate change in Nebraska aquatic ecosystems. The postdoc will have opportunities to mentor student researchers and participate in the broader community of the School of Natural Resources and UNL. The position is based in Lincoln, NE, and may include travel to field sites in Valentine, Scottsbluff, Omaha, and/or the Sandhills. 

The position is 100% research, although teaching opportunities (as lead instructor) may be available if of interest to the applicant. The salary is competitive and includes a comprehensive benefits package. The start date is negotiable, but ideally no later than Jan. 1, 2025. The initial appointment is for one year, with extensions possible.
