Description: The Restoration Costs Data Specialist will work with the Department of Fish & Game's In-Lieu Fee Program (ILFP) and Division of Ecological Restoration (DER) staff to organize, interpret and analyze restoration project data. This work will include compilation and analysis of cost metrics for various project phases and different types of projects. Ecological metrics will also be analyzed to improve understanding of the costs associated with achieving ecological outcomes for tidal and freshwater projects of different types and scale. The Restoration Costs Data Specialist will support ILFP, DER, and overall Department goals by assisting in developing a database of restoration cost metrics, reporting and presenting on the results of the analyses, and providing instruction and guidance to DFG staff on use of the database and protocols for tracking and recording restoration cost data in the future. The Restoration Cost Data Specialist will work under the direction of the In-Lieu Fee Program Administrator, in consultation with DER’s Habitat Restoration Program Manager and in collaboration with the ILFP Aquatic Mitigation Specialist. This position is anticipated to be a term-limited six-month contract position.
