Technical Assistant, Benthic Macroinvertebrate - Water Security Agency
The Ecological and Habitat Assessment Services unit is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, self-reliant temporary Technical Assistants. This is a field-based position that includes collection, identification, and habitat inventory for fauna including beetles, mussels, and other macroinvertebrates. As a Technical Assistant, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in rare species conservation, management-based research and applied ecological monitoring while working on the different research components of the project.
Under the guidance of the Senior Aquatic Macroinvertebrate Ecologist, this position will provide you with a broad range of field skills related to the collection of macroinvertebrate data across southern Saskatchewan.
Duties and responsibilities of this project may include but are not limited to collecting information on macroinvertebrate occurrence and density, and maintenance of data collection equipment.
