Two graduate research assistantships (GRA) on sediment and nutrient interactions in stream ecosystems starting fall 2020 or spring 2021
STROUD WATER RESEARCH CENTER, Avondale, PA, USA
One GRA position (Ph.D. preferred) is available to investigate nutrient processing and microbial response of precolonial or pre-legacy soils following stream/riparian restoration. Applicants should have a strong background in soil science, biogeochemistry, hydrology, and/or microbial ecology. Contact Dr. Shreeram Inamdar (University of Delaware) or Dr. Jinjun Kan (Stroud Water Research Center) for more information, or visit: https://stroudcenter.org/jobs/.
A GRA position (M.S. or Ph.D.) will measure and model/quantify nitrogen transport and biological nitrogen removal (e.g., via denitrification) in legacy sediment plumes in streams. Applicants should have a strong background in hydrology, biogeochemistry, and water quality. Contact Dr. Marc Peipoch (Stroud Center) or Dr. Shreeram Inamdar for additional details, and visit: https://stroudcenter.org/jobs/.
