This Section Chief position oversees the Watershed Planning and Restoration Section within the Watershed Assessment and Planning Branch (WAPB), Office of Water Quality of the Indiana Department of Environmental Management. The incumbent reports to the Branch Chief and is responsible for supervising a staff of eight employees and for managing the $3.5 million Clean Water Act (CWA) Section 319(h) and 205(j) grant programs for watershed planning and restoration activities, and for managing the Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) program required by Section 303(d) of the CWA. The work performed by this position is essential for ensuring program goals are met as specified in the State Nonpoint Source Management Plan and the TMDL Priority Plan, including water quality performance measures. The incumbent will ensure that all state and federal policies, protocols and deadlines for grant applications, grant agreements and reports are met for the CWA §319(h) and CWA §604(b)/205(j) programs.
