A Suwannee cooter (Pseudemys concinna suwanniensis) takes a breath amongst thick vegetation in the reflective waters of Blue Spring. Water from this second magnitude spring in Gilchrist County, Florida emerges from the aquifer and flows a quarter mile to join the Santa Fe River.
