Jonah Ventures (jonahventures.com) is currently searching for a full-time research associate to contribute skills on quantitative PCR as part of our growing environmental DNA sequencing lab in Boulder, CO. Jonah Ventures performs next generation sequencing and quantitative PCR analyses on environmental DNA samples to help clients answer environmental questions. Job responsibilities will include a mix of qPCR assay development, qPCR assay testing, and sample processing. Candidate should have experience in multiplexed qPCR primer and probe development, preferably for environmental DNA or related areas, as well as assay testing, validation, cross-reactivity assessment, and standard curve generation. Responsibilities will also include primer and probe management, sample management, extraction of DNA, running gels, automated liquid handling, all aspects of qPCR assays, and report generation.
