Dr. Reese Voshell | 1948-2021
Reese had a profound impact on his many (thousands!) undergraduate students in aquatic entomology. He was an extremely popular teacher and graduate student mentor because of his passion for aquatic insects, generosity and patience. His research ranged from macroinvertebrate bioassessment to species descriptions. He also wrote an aquatic macroinvertebrate book that is used by volunteer stream monitors, anglers, and other naturalists. He leaves a legacy of students, professionals and volunteers that continue to share their passion for freshwater macroinvertebrates.
