Procurement Specialist — Massachusetts Division of Ecological Restoration

The Division of Ecological Restoration (DER) is seeking a skilled procurement professional with a passion for collaboration and healing the environment. The Procurement Specialist (Program Coordinator II) will play a critical role in advancing DER’s mission by performing essential fiscal tasks and activities. As a part of the Division’s Fiscal Program, this position will collaborate with staff across the division to increase the scale and pace of ecological restoration across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Success in this position requires strong creative and critical thinking to navigate the complexity and interdisciplinary nature of DER’s work, as well as experience in fiscal management, staff supervision, familiarity with relevant state and federal regulations and grant processes, experience with MMARS and COMMBUYS, and demonstrated leadership. This position is hybrid and based out of the Boston office. 

This candidate will be responsible for the oversight and administration of grant procurement and awarding, organizing new grant opportunities, and coordinating with DER’s Fiscal team on reporting tasks and compliance. Working in collaboration with staff across the division, this role is integral in achieving DER's mission of restoring and protecting rivers, wetlands, and watersheds for the benefit of people and the environment.
