Summer Freshwater Mussel Field Technician

The University of Georgia is hiring multiple field technicians to conduct aquatic surveys for native freshwater mussels in the Great Lakes region as part of a collaborative research project with the UGA and USDA Forest Service. Positions are based in Rhinelander, WI and will run from May 1st to September 15th (with some flexibility in start and end dates).

Applicants must be available for overnight travel for multiple days at a time (lodging, food stipend, and transportation provided). Applicants should be able to perform aquatic surveys (e.g., swimming, snorkeling, kayak/canoe operations, etc.). Experience working with native freshwater mussels is preferred (but not required).
