The Society for Freshwater Science (SFS) is excited to announce the opening for applications to the Resh/Rosenberg Africa/Asia Travel Award. This award will support two recipients, providing each with US $2,500 plus coverage for registration fees to attend the next SFS meeting in Spokane, WA, USA from 17-21 May 2026. The application deadline is November 3, 2025.
The requirements to apply for this award are:
- To be a 3rd+ year PhD student, or an early-career scientific researcher and/or professor within 5 years of earning their Ph.D in the field of freshwater sciences.
- To be originally from and currently residing in any African or Asian country.
- To present your research at the SFS annual conference in Spokane in May 2026 (poster or oral presentation).
- To attend the SFS annual meeting in its entirety (May 17-21, 2026).
